The next Kiwi Cane

The original plan for Kiwi Cane was to hold it as a bi-annual or tri-annual event, alternating with Cressy Cane in Tasmania, Australia.

After the success of the inaugural 2024 Kiwi Cane, we discussed holding a follow up event in 2025. Scheduling, demand for Taransky Bamboo rods and classes and other commitments mean that we will not be running Kiwi Cane in 2025.

When we have dates for the next Kiwi Cane, we will announce them here on the website.

Inaugural Kiwi Cane an outstanding success

The first Kiwi Cane proved to be a wonderful event, with more than 20 people spending 3 days talking bamboo and casting a wide range of rods.

Kiwi Cane is Coming!…

The first Kiwi Cane gathering will be held in 2024.

The planned dates are:
- Friday 19 April to Sunday 21 April 2024

We are very pleased to announce that the venue for the 2024 Inaugural Kiwi Cane will be Ruapehu Ski Club's Lodge in Ohakune. We are working on a package for the 3 day gathering. Booking information will be available soon.
